Sarah Campbell's job as a feature editor for the Philadelphia Eagles involves transforming expert insights and rough drafts into clear, memorable content. Campbell's work often involves collaboration with other creatives, such as videographers, graphic designers, and media producers. She's responsible for producing the weekly motivational pre-game video and works with the Athletic Communications Department team to film and edit pre-season and post-game videows for social media platforms (e.g. X, Instagram, etc.)
Prior to the Eagles, Sarah was Assistant Video Coordinator for Vanderbilt football. In her role, she shot, edited and produced creative content surrounding the football program, while also supporting the director of football video services with internal projects.
Campbell moved to Nashville after spending the 2021 season as a creative content intern for the football team at Wake Forest.
The East Lansing, Michigan, native graduated from Catholic University in 2021. While an undergraduate student, she was a student video director/editor and spent two years as the director of football creative media. About being in a male-dominated industry, Campbell reports that “I believe that more women are looking to make an impact in the sports media world, which means more jobs are being created.”
CUA alum and current students look to CUA media studies faculty for guidance. Glenn Osten Anderson worked for CBS College Sports, Runner’s World and also contributed to an HBO Real sports short documentary. He is currently working on a documentary about mental health in college athletes.
“I really want to see that community grow here at Catholic,” Anderson said. “I think we’re pretty effectively raising our profile as a sports media school.”
